Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s Luminara Launches in 2025, Redefining Luxury at Sea with Unmatched Design, Dining, and Global Destinations

Accommodation Bahrain introduces

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection proudly unveils fresh insights about its eagerly awaited third superyacht, Luminara, scheduled to embark on its inaugural voyage from Monte Carlo to Rome on July 3, 2025. Following successful sea trials, Luminara has showcased outstanding performance, seamlessly marrying cutting-edge technology with exceptional comfort, setting the stage for a remarkable maiden season.

This vessel represents a significant expansion for the Collection, introducing new destinations including Asia and Alaska—both firsts for the brand. These extended itineraries will grant guests exclusive access to some of the world’s most stunning and remote locales, providing deeply immersive and enriching travel experiences.

The public areas were crafted by the Toronto-based Chapi Design Luxury Division, known for their sophisticated blend of contemporary style and natural elements. Guest suites, designed by London’s AD Associates, feature warm walnut woodwork paired with luxurious Arabescato Corchia marble. The soothing color palette incorporates soft blues, gentle greys, and deep ocean tones accented with bronze and subtle ruby hues. Curved architectural elements and sculptural lighting evoke the fluidity and rhythm of the sea, creating a harmonious transition between indoor and outdoor spaces.

The yacht’s sleek exterior, designed by Helsinki’s Aivan studio, draws inspiration from timeless private yacht aesthetics, combining graceful lines with modern flair.

Each suite boasts a private terrace, offering guests serene views of the open ocean. The new Residential Suite balances intimacy with grandeur, featuring finishes of dark oak, Emporada marble, smoked glass, and bespoke furnishings from prestigious brands like Minotti, Giorgetti, Talenti, Poltrona Frau, and Molteni.

Throughout the yacht, carefully curated lighting with intuitive controls allows guests to personalize their ambiance, cultivating a peaceful retreat during their voyage.

Art is a key component of Luminara’s atmosphere. The yacht is adorned with 731 art pieces, about 65% of which were specially commissioned for this vessel. The collection explores themes of light, sophistication, and maritime heritage, with many pieces inspired by Malta’s rich history.

Highlights include artistic nods to knights’ armor, lighthouse symbolism, and the Maltese Hawk moth, all celebrating the spirit of adventure and discovery. Renowned artists such as Paul Klee, David Hockney, Alexander Calder, Henri Matisse, Gerhard Richter, and Andy Warhol contribute to the sophisticated gallery-like environment onboard.

A standout feature is a magnificent seven-story suspended light sculpture in the aft staircase atrium, linking multiple decks and offering a captivating interplay of illumination and design.

Dining aboard Luminara continues The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s tradition of culinary excellence. Five distinct restaurants onboard showcase menus developed with James Beard award winners and Michelin-starred chefs Fabio Trabocchi and Michael Mina.

Seta su Luminara, in partnership with Fabio Trabocchi, serves an eight-course tasting menu along with an à la carte selection of modern Italian cuisine inspired by Venice’s historical spice trade.

Beach House, created with Michael Mina, offers vibrant Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavors, reflecting Mina’s Egyptian heritage.

Other culinary venues include Azur on Luminara, presenting regionally influenced dishes focused on seasonal ingredients; Haesu Bit, a pan-Asian concept featuring flavors from destinations on the itinerary such as Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Korea, and Cantonese cuisine; and Mistral, which captures the essence of Mediterranean coastal dining with fresh seafood and expertly grilled meats.

The yacht also houses seven elegant bars, including the newly introduced Art Bar, where guests enjoy craft cocktails alongside a striking display of Cycladic art that merges ancient tradition with the dynamic spirit of modern navigation.

Luminara enhances the Collection’s signature offerings with expansive outdoor amenities, including a marina, Marina Terrace, and Marina Beach. A floating lounge platform features a central swimming pool with direct access to water activities like kayaking, paddleboarding, Seabob rides, and electric foiling boards.

Deck 10 presents a panoramic pool area with a main pool, two jacuzzis, and tranquil retreats, all supported by personalized services and amenities tailored to guest preferences.

The wellness experience extends to The Ritz-Carlton Spa®, equipped with eleven treatment rooms offering exclusive therapies from ESPA, 111SKIN, and Pisterzi. Inspired by the yacht’s Asia-Pacific voyages, signature treatments such as the Awakening Bamboo Massage and Detoxifying Wellness Poultice emphasize holistic rejuvenation unique to Luminara.

Luminara elevates the luxury retail experience through a collaboration with Starboard Luxury, introducing dedicated boutiques for Cartier, IWC Schaffhausen, and Piaget, all debuting within the yacht collection. These boutiques showcase exquisite Swiss timepieces and fine jewelry, accompanied by personalized service from expert brand ambassadors.

Additional retail offerings include resort wear, accessories, exclusive co-branded Lululemon apparel, vintage Hermès handbags, sustainable designs by Stella McCartney, and unique home décor. The retail collection will evolve during the yacht’s journey to reflect regional influences and new luxury discoveries.

Following its inaugural Mediterranean season, Luminara will explore new regions including Africa and the Indian Ocean, before embarking on Asia-Pacific itineraries starting in December 2025. Destinations include Hạ Long Bay in Vietnam, Osaka in Japan, and Bangkok in Thailand, offering guests culturally rich and scenic experiences.

In May 2026, Luminara will move to Alaska and Canada for summer, providing exclusive access to pristine wilderness and stunning natural landscapes, enhancing the yacht’s portfolio of immersive nature adventures.
